Turkish Language Certificate Programme 2008 Summer Term

The aim of the Turkish Language Certificate Programme is to teach you the broadly spoken Turkish Language,which is a member of ancient languages family and to provide you a level to use Turkish as a communication language at your work, school or society.

In this programme, courses, T.V., exercise activities and facilitation services are combined in an online environment.

This programme consists of 6 levels which are called A1; A2; B1; B2; C1; C2. Only A1 and A2 levels will be offered in 2008 Summer Term, B1; B2; C1; C2 levels will be offered in the following terms.

The Turkish that you will learn at A1 and A2 level will enable you to use communicative skills. For further details click on Programmes.

Who Can Apply?

Anyone who wants to speak, write and read in Turkish can apply for this programme. Applications for Turkish Language Certificate Programme for the 2008 Summer Term will be made on the Application page between the dates June 2, 2008 and June 20, 2008.

Tuition Fee For The Turkish Language Certificate Programme

Tuition fee for the Turkish Language Certificate Programme is 200 Euro for the Spring semester.

How the Programme Works and The Learning Environment

A password that will allow the students to access information such as e-learning contents, registration and examination, will be sent to the students’ e-mail addresses and a log-in account of the Turkish Language Certificate Programme will be created.

The students who have registered in the Turkish Language Certificate Programme can study for the certificate exams by using the Course, Exercises, Homework, T.V. Programmes, Book, Trial Test, Synchronous or Asynchronous Academic Faciliation which are offered in an Internet based environment.

The courses and the facilitation service for the Turkish Language Certificate Programme Spring Semester will start on June 23, 2008.

Examinations

The examinations of Turkish Language Certificate Programme will be carried out in two sessions as written and oral. Oral exam , will be taken on the day and hour which is in the time interval of Academic Calendar determined by the facilitators and the written exam will be carried out via the Internet, on the date and hour which is stated in the Academic Calendar.

Success Criterions and The Certificate

The assessment criteria for Turkish Certificate Programme are shown below.

The students will be considered successful when they receive at least 70 points over 100 from each assessment criterion shown above. The Success Document that shows the success of the students in courses will be published over the Internet at the end of the programme. The students who receive 70 over 100 will have the right to receive the certificate. For the ones who has the right to receive the certificate, the certificate documents will be sent starting from September 9 , 2008.

Learning Process in the Turkish Language Certificate Programme

Every week in the Turkish Language Certificate Programme, a different unit will be published including various learning practices and education activities that will be carried out for 12 weeks. Students will learn one unit each week and get synchronous and asynchronous facilitation service from their facilitators.
